After the death of artist William H. Jefferson in March of 1996 the Jefferson Family Archives were formed to preserve and protect all original works of art and lithograph reproductions created by Jefferson in his lifetime. Jefferson Archives Publishing,LLC, has since been established as the only authorized publisher and distributor for the Jefferson Family Archives.
    EDITION INFORMATION:
In the mid-1980s when William H. Jefferson’s career as a fine artist was at a high-point, Jefferson authorized the printing of 750 fine quality lithograph reproductions of the original charcoal and graphite drawing Irv and Jim. Shortly after the printing process had been completed, Jefferson fell ill and he did not complete the signing and numbering process to complete the edition. The lithographs that were left unsigned by Jefferson upon his hospitalization were placed in archive. After Jefferson’s death, Jefferson Archives Publishing produced an ink stamp of Jefferson’s original signature and limited quantities of the original lithograph Irv and Jim were then signature stamped, numbered and cataloged.

Now, after nearly 30 years in archive, these original lithographs are now available for purchase.
